Oxford public health miniconference

Background

The idea for a public health 'mini-conference' in the Oxford area was first mooted in January 2008, and a proposal put to the local trainees' committee which can be downloaded below.

In brief, it was proposed that every 4-6 months a small one-day conference is held in which all current public health trainees (Specialist/Specialty Registrars and Trainees) in the Oxford Deanery area present - either orally or as a poster - some of their recent work, with local public health consultants chairing themed sessions.

The first conference was organised by Dr Tom Porter, one of the Specialist Registrars on the scheme.
